Firm to produce high-end stationery and accessories for Japanese property.
DRi Licensing is continuing to grow the programme for Japanese lifestyle property Kimmidoll, signing up Blueprint Collections.
The firm is splitting the brand into two segments - Kimmidoll Collection is aimed at teenagers and young women, while Kimmidoll Junior has recently been created for the four to ten year-old girls market.
Targeting premium distribution channels, Blueprint's Kimmidoll Collection will launch this autumn with high-end stationery and accessories, as well as a range of bags and travel accessories. Its Kimmidoll Junior line will launch across the wider High Street from spring 2013.
"The reaction to Kimmidoll at Brand Licensing Europe was phenomenal and we are delighted to be announcing a major licence with Blueprint for the stationery and bag categories," said Alicia Davenport, licensing director at DRi. "This is a fantastic way to kick start 2012 and we are looking forward to confirming many more licensing partners for the Kimmidoll brand in the coming months."
Inspired by Kokeshi dolls, which have been a Japanese cultural institution for over two centures, Kimmidoll is a collection of resin dolls made to represent values including love, kindness, happiness and friendship. Two limited edition doll collections are released for each of the brands annually, each character with its own design and identity.
