New support service launches to aid firms with licensing and manufacturing contracts.
A new service is launching this month, created to guide licensees through the complexities of licensing and manufacturing contracts, as well as legal terms, potential pitfalls and leading contract negotiations.
Assist Licensing has been set up by Stephen Black (pictured), who has 28 years experience of business law and giving business advice.
The company's remit will be to make sure that licensees understand their contractual obligations, making royalty audits easier and ensuring they enter into the most favourable agreement possible with a licensor and manufacturer.
Black explained: "Our key aim is to represent the interests of licensees, and that means making sure they enter into the most favourable agreement possible so that their experience of licensing is as successful and rewarding as it can be.
"But we know that licensing relationships work best between companies that are performing as efficiently as possible, so we are also on hand to help licensees find solutions to other business challenges."
