Character has helped raise over £1m for the charity over the last five years.
Coolabi is continuing to work with the Asthma UK charity, extending the licence deal for Bagpuss for a further two years.
Bagpuss pin badges, bookmarks and charm bracelets have been sold for Asthma UK through a wide range of outlets including Fitness First, QHotels and a number of building societies. The new deal will see Asthma UK expanding the number of outlets which sell the collectable items.
Over the past five years, Bagpuss has helped raise over £1 million for Asthma UK.
Meanwhile, licensee Intelex has reported strong sales for Bagpuss products over the Christmas period. The firm secured a number of new listings for the brand, notably with River Island and Topshop, and saw increased sales through Argos and Co-op Pharmacy. It is planning new lines for 2012.
"The extended relationship with Asthma UK is a great boost to the Bagpuss brand," said Fran Huxley, licensing consultant at Coolabi. "The continuing success at retail, coupled with the stage show, are testament to the enduring popularity of the character. We look forward to introducing new lines in 2012."
