BBC Worldwide has appointed Rainbow Designs as the master toy licensee for the CBeebies pre-school show, Charlie and Lola.

Rainbow will start its Charlie and Lola range with a series of products under a new 'Lola loves…' brand aimed at girls aged two to four years-old.

Anthony Temple, Rainbow Designs’ managing director, said: "The brand is fresh, fun and contemporary, and our new products offer variety, originality and the winning combination of traditional toys with modern day touches.

"It is a great privilege to be working with the Charlie and Lola brand and we are extremely excited to be launching the new 'Lola loves...' collection."

Maiden plush products include Best Dressed Bean Dolls, Best Bestest Friend Rag Dolls and Lola’s Favourite and Best Outfit Dolls.

In craft and activity toys Rainbow will launch Paint Your Very Own Door Hanger, Lola Loves Painting Doll Set and Lola’s Most Favourite Things Dominoes Set.

Rainbow Designs portfolio of licences includes Wibbly Pig, The Gruffalo, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Miffy, Paddington Bear, The World of Beatrix Potter and Stripy Horse.

The new toys will be on show at Toy Fair at Olympia, London at stand E40.
