BabyTV seals US deal for My First Years Library

Agreement inked with Universal Sales to introduce line throughout 2012.

BabyTV has signed up with Universal Sales to introduce a range of consumer products to the US market this year.

The first ten titles of BabyTV's DVD offering are due to launch in Q1 2012, followed by various music CDs featuring nursery rhymes and lullabies. Several book formats are also being planned for Easter, as well as a Christmas book.

Additional activities planned to support the product launches include presence at the New York Toy Fair in February and Book Expo America in June, as well as a dedicated website for US consumers.

"Launching our first consumer products in the US represents another milestone for the BabyTV brand," said Ralf Kies, director of global licensing and merchandising at BabyTV. "We are looking forward to developing additional innovative product ideas together with our partner Universal Sales using BabyTV's unique original artwork and IP, and thus expanding our retail presence across the US further."
