Agent to represent live action BBC show; toy and publishing sectors targeted first.
Bulldog Licensing has significantly bolstered its portfolio, signing up live action BBC show, Mr Bloom's Nursery.
Targeting the toy and publishing sectors first, Bulldog will be launching a wide range of merchandise for the show, also featuring apparel, gardening equipment and homewares lines.
Mr Bloom's Nursery combines live action and puppets to show how young children can learn from the experience of nurturing plants and vegetables.
It is broadcast on both Cbeebies and BBC2, with audiences peaking at over 500,000 on the pre-school channel with a 23.6 per cent share.
The second series is now airing on Cbeebies, and the brand comprises 52 episodes of 20 minutes each, as well as a one-off show for 2012.
"We are absolutely thrilled to be working with the BBC on one of their major pre-school shows," said Rob Corney, MD at Bulldog. "Mr Bloom's Nursery is an incredible achievement which is brilliantly innovative and creative.
"This brand has been one we've been watching develop for some time now and I think the licensing lines are going to be a real hit with consumers."
