Smiley heads to India

Digikore Studios reveals its plans to take the Smiley brands forward in India.
Digikore, an Indian animation studio and rights management firm, will implement licensing strategies for the SmileyWorld and Smiley Collection brands, after being appointed representative.
The firm, which also represents Zorro and Fido Dido in India, plans to introduce the brands into the categories of licensed stationery, party goods, paper products and apparel. Its next step will see the brands expanded into the areas of licensed house wares, home furnishings, health and beauty products and items for babies and children.
Abhishek More from Digikore said: ‘The simplicity of Smiley really stands out. We are looking forward very much to working on the brand because we know how consumers are attracted to its feel-good factor.”
As part of its global expansion, Smiley World also recently appointed agents in the US, Japan, Korea and the Middle East.
