Imira Entertainment signs up publishing partners in Spain for new TV series.
New kids TV series Lucky Fred will get a host of books thanks to licensing deals with publishers in Spain.
Imira Entertainment has signed Editorial Planeta and Grup 62 which will release 16 books between 2012 and 2014, including electronic versions.
Lucky Fred has already been sold to over 155 territories across the globe including the Disney Channel in Europe, TF1 in France, Nickelodeon in Benelux and more.
There is also a Lucky Fred mobile app game on the way.
Julien Barbier, head of licensing at Imira Entertainment, said: “Publishing is a key category for the Lucky Fred brand and so we’re very pleased to have such established partners on board for Spain.
“As the show rolls out on channels worldwide, and we launch the interactive geo-localised app, we are looking to establish a licensing programme in all key markets.”
