Four new partners signed up in South Africa for hit competitive cookery series.
Shine 360 - the international brand and rights management division of Shine Group - has appointed four major licensees for Masterchef South Africa, across categories including publishing, cookware and utensils.
Following on from the debut of the series on M-Net, Worldwide Housewares will launch a range of Masterchef cookware, bakeware, utensils, gadgets, glassware and textiles.
Meanwhile, Ranksharp - which is already an existing partner in the UK - will be extending its partnership with Masterchef to produce gas and charcoal BBQs for the region.
NB Publishers will be launching the region's first official Masterchef cook book, alongside Media24, which will be bringing viewers a one-off magazine, including recipe ideas and interviews from the judges and contestants.
The appointment of the latter two licensees will build on a global publishing programme that has seen over four million Masterchef books and magazines published internationally since 2009.
"We are delighted to announce that fans of Masterchef South Africa will soon be able to experience a host of superb new products inspired by the show, and created by four of the region's leading manufacturers," said Lori Heiss, global brand manager at Shine 360.
Ben Liebmann, CEO of Shine 360, added: "These new partnerships are representative of the enormous success we are having internationally and strengthen the global brand as we approach new market launches, such as Masterchef China."
