Ambitious BKN eyes further growth

Flurry of international sales sealed for children's animated comedy Dork Hunters from Outer Space.
BKN is looking to secure further international expansion at this month's MIPTV - and it has already got off to a good start, revealing today that a number of channels have come on board for Dork Hunters from Outer Space.
The firm has recently closed a number of international free TV deals for the children's animated comedy series and has confirmed a strategically timed autumn 2008 launch with a selection of key broadcast partners.
The launch has been planned to support the launch of Character Options' toy line.
GMTV (UK), Network Ten (Australia), SABC (South Africa) and CTC (Russia) will all be participating in the simultaneous launch.
In addition, BKN New Media has appointed Kidz Entertainment as its licensing agent in the Central and Eastern European regions.
Morten Geschwendtner, chairman of Kidz Entertainment, said: "We are enormously pleased to be working with BKN New Media and look forward to introducing Dork Hunters to potential partners in Central and Eastern Europe commencing in Russia and, of course, extending our relationship with BKN to include further projects."
