June launch planned for video game based on the smash hit Jason Bourne character.

Sierra Entertainment is aiming for a June 27th launch for Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy.

Rolling out on Microsoft's Xbox 360 system and Sony's PlayStation 3, the game promises to bring to life the signature combat style of Ludlum's hero, Jason Bourne.

It is meant as an addition to the blockbuster films and best selling novels in the series, and has been developed by High Moon Studios in close partnership with Ludlum Entertainment, with character development from Bourne screenwriter Tony Gilroy.

"Wrought with action, combat, elaborate escape scenes and untol story, the Bourne series is making a natural progression into the interactive medium," explained Al Simone, senior VP of global marketing at Sierra.

Emmanuel Valdez, chief creative officer at High Moon Studios, added: "We're creating a video game that is distinctly Bourne, based on a deconstruction of the character from action hero to game hero, and one that we ultimately believe gamers will discover as a distinctively original licensed action game."
