Alphanim appoints firm to represent brand in its home market of Italy.
Alphanim is looking to expand the reach of its Calimero property - signing up Teamworks to represent it in Italy.
The news follows the recent announcement of RAI, the state Italian broadcaster, picking up the series.
The character of Calimero was created in 1963 for a TV advertising campaign, which ran on RAI throughout the 1960s and 1970s.
More than 70 hours and 290 episodes were produced and shown in 79 countries.
Alphanim is now producing the new 104x11-minute CGI series with TF1. Broadcast is expected to begin in time for the brand's 50th anniversary in 2013/2014.
