US: Koch strikes Derek DVD deal

Live action kids' comedy to be distributed in North America by Koch Vision.
Shaftesbury Films' kids' live action comedy TV show Life with Derek is heading to DVD in the US after a deal with Koch Vision.
The firm will distribute the first three seasons - totalling 52 half-hour episodes - from the fourth quarter of this year.
Translated into more than 14 languages, Life with Derek airs in more than 100 countries worldwide including the Family Channel in Canada, Disney Channel in the US, Cartoon Network in the UK and Disney and RTL in Germany.
It also airs in France, Italy, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, the Netherlands, Eastern Europe, Spain, Portugal, South East Asia and Latin America.
"Life with Derek has a proven track record for consistently delivering great ratings and enduring entertainment for the tween and family audience," said Shane Kinnear, VP of marketing and sales for Shaftesbury Films. "Koch will be invaluable as they take our brand into home entertainment."
