The Froobles, Star Trek, London 2012 Olympics and more up for 2012 app awards.
A host of big and upcoming brands are in the running for this year’s Appsters Awards.
Shortlisted brand apps include Top That’s The Froobles for Best Entertainment App 2012, Capablue’s Star Trek for Best TV App 2012, London 2012 for Best Consumer App 2012 and Auto Trader’s Goodwood Festival of Speed 2012 for Best Entertainment App 2012.

The Appsters Awards takes place at the Roof Gardens in Kensington on October 2nd, and will be hosted by actor, comedian and writer Miles Jupp.
The Froobles (pictured) is a pre-school book property. Its app was downloaded 50,000 times in April following a World Book Night social media promotion.
Its licensing programme will be unveiled by JELC at Brand Licensing Europe next month. Froobles outdoor play and school playground equipment is in the works for UK and European markets with Playtec Leisure, and will be showcased this autumn.
