Animation company's properties now available from the iTunes UK store for just £1.89 per episode.

Aardman Animations has revealed that its award-winning TV shows are now available for £1.89 an episode from the iTunes Store in the UK.

iTunes customers can choose from the 30-minute Wallace and Gromit specials A Close Shave, The Wrong Trousers and A Grand Day Out.

In addition to this, the duo's series of nine short films Cracking Contraptions, 25xone-minute episodes of Angry Kid (pictured), 13xten-minute episodes of cult TV comedy series Rex the Runt and The Pearce Sisters, the film which won the Special Jury Prize at Annecy 07 and the Cartoon D'Or at Cartoon Forum 07 are also available.

This is the latest move from Aardman in the digital arena and follows on from a number of deals last year which saw it expanding its roster of programming to new online and mobile audiences through deals with Joost, Rhythm and Atom Films and Player X in the US.

"We are delighted that some of our key shows will now be available to new viewers through the world's most popular online TV store," said Robin Gladman, digital rights manager at Aardman.
