Firm to represent pre-school show in Norway, Finland, Denmark and Sweden.
The profile of Kindle Entertainment's Big and Small property is set to expand in Scandinavia, after Alicom Licensing inked a deal to represent the show.
The company will be handling the series in Norway, Finland, Denmark and Sweden. It is hoping to build on the licensee success Big and Small has enjoyed to date in the UK, capitalising on its popularity with audiences across Scandinavia.
Since 2009, series one and two have been broadcast in Denmark (DR1), Finland (MTV3 Junior) and Norway (NRK Super), with Sweden (SVTB) signing up for 2010.
In addition, Sweden has also signed up for series three, with the other three countries hoping to sign up later this year.
"I am delighted that Alicom have come on board and very much look forward to expanding the profile of Big an Small in Scandinavia together," said Anne Brogan, executive producer at Kindle Entertainment.
Alicom's senior sales executive, Fuad Khan, added: "We are excited to start working with Kindle Entertainment. The strong broadcasting platform creates a great opportunity to create an extensive licensing programme in the Nordics."
