Games category grows, with duo joining the licensing programme for the patchwork elephant.
Andersen Press has signed up two new licences for Elmer the Patchwork Elephant.
Green Board Games will be producing an educational card game, while Wentworth Jigsaws will roll out wooden puzzles.
In addition, Rainbow Designs has renewed its licence and is planning to launch a large range of items in the UK. Andersen Press is expecting to sign further deals with new licensees in early 2010.
Meanwhile, abroad, MLP will launch a range of apparel in France and Scandinavia in 2010, while Bjorna has signed up for home textiles for Scandinavia. The Elmer offering with Kids Preferred USA will also be greatly enlarged for next year.
The Elmer licensing programme also continues to be strong in France, Japan and Taiwan, while it is just launching in Korea.
"Green Board Games' ingenuity and style will result in an original card game and their commitment to environment friendly sourcing sits well with the Elmer image," said Sarah Pakenham, rights director at Andersen Press. "Wentworth are famous for their quality and tradition and another perfect partner for Elmer, so we are delighted with these two deals. We are looking forward to a bigger Elmer presence in 2010."
