Battersea Dogs and Cats Home taps The Point. 1888 for brand extension initiative

“We are confident the partnership will maximise income from the licensing programme to help us care for even more dogs and cats.”

UK animal charity, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is expanding its licensing efforts with a move into new product categories.

The organisation has named The Point. 1888 as its exclusive brand extension partner, tasking the outfit to build an enhanced product ecosystem that will extend the Battersea brand into new, previously unexplored markets.

Raising awareness for the popular charity will be at the heart of the programme, as The Point. 1888 explores brand extension opportunities that will enable consumers to get their hands on products that carry Battersea Dogs and Cats Home’s expertise, quality and care factor.

Established in 1860, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home has been rehoming and caring for animals for over 157 years, looking after more than 3.1 million animals in need throughout its history.

“Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is a true British icon and an incredible charity that is very close to our hearts, aligned with our ethos,” said Will Stewart, managing director, The Point. 1888.

“The organisation makes a positive impact with everything it does and we are honoured to help it find partnerships within retail and consumer products.”

Amy Zalin, licensing manager at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, added: “The Point. 1888’s experience with connecting great brands and retailers is exactly what we are looking for to showcase and expand our presence in retailers.

“We are confident the partnership will maximise income from the licensing programme to help us care for even more dogs and cats.”
