The new school programme has already proved a big hit, attracting sign-ups from 200 primary schools.
BBC Worldwide is celebrating the outstanding success of its Go Jetters school initiative, after 200 primary schools signed up within 24 hours.
The on-the-ground campaign is based on characters and geography themes from the popular CBeebies series, bringing the values and educational entertainment of Go Jetters to the classroom with specially-created packs of materials to help teachers plan lessons around a selection of geography-based activities.
The exclusive packs are being delivered this week to coincide with the start of the new school year, and include books for the school library, magazines and DVDs for every Year One child, a poster, a jigsaw and funky fact files.
“We are really excited to see the initiative coming to life and are thrilled by the overwhelming response we have had to our campaign already from Year One classes all over the country,” said Nancy Twynam, head of marketing at BBC Worldwide.
“We wanted to find an interesting way of bringing the geographic themes of the show to life in the classroom and at home, and feel the initiative we’ve put together with Playtime PR will really help us nurture the next wave of Go Jetters fans," she continued.
"Seeing such a positive response from teachers at launch has reaffirmed our belief that Go Jetters is a perfect fit for the Year One setting and we are looking forward to seeing how the classes embrace the activities and collateral we’re providing them with."
The animated adventure comedy series aimed at four to six-year-olds has been a hit with school-aged youngsters, with a second series due to air from September 18th.
