Jetix and CITV to air upcoming Huntik: Secrets & Seekers series.

Big Bocca Productions has revealed that its forthcoming action adventure series Huntik: Secrets & Seekers has been snapped up by Jetix and CITV in the UK.

The show has been created by Iginio Straffi, the author of Winx Club, and developed through a partnership between Big Bocca Productions, animation studio Rainbow S.p.A and production firm m4e.

Jetix UK will have an exclusive window, launching the show this month and supporting it both on air and online. The channel will air the series each day at 8pm and 9.30pm, with weekend showings at 1.30pm. In addition, the Huntik trailer will feature on Jetix Magazine's March edition VCD covermount to coincide with the trading card game release in the territory.

CITV will launch the series in the summer.

"We are delighted to have such big players committed to our property and trust that the series will be a long lasting success on both channels in the UK," said Marie-Laure Marchand, MD of Big Bocca.

Rachel Clement of Upper Deck added: "We are very pleased to have the support of these two major broadcasters for the Huntik property. These two partners are the perfect fit for the target audience on both the pay TV and the Freeview platforms.

"It gives us the best audience reach and the perfect opportunity to make a success of both our toy line and the trading card game."
