New deal for pre-school show covers TV, DVD and licensing.
Target Entertainment has bolstered its pre-school portfolio, signing up TV, DVD and licensing rights to Abadas.
Created by Dinamo - the studio responsible for animating Rastamouse - Abadas launches on October 24th, simultaneously on Cbeebies, BBC Alba, S4C and RTE.
Each episode is introduced by a young boy named Ben who opens his magical pop-up book to look for his friends.
"Abadas is undoubtedly one of the most exciting pre-school licences of recent years," said Lindsay Pearl, director of licensing and children's acquisitions at Target Entertainment. "It has all the key ingredients of a successful property - charming characters, strong educational values, song, dance and challenging yet entertaining play patterns.
"We also think it presents a massive international opportunity as the programming could be used in different territories as a tool to teach a child a second language."
