Blues grows Euro business

Licensed apparel firm renews distribution deals in four European territories.

As part of its European growth strategy, licensed apparel specialist Blues Clothing has renewed a five year distribution deal for France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg with Sodirep.

With offices in Brussels, Paris and Lille - and a E15 million turnover - Sodirep is one of the largest clothing suppliers to retail in France and Benelux, supplying stores such as Carrefour and Makro.

Blues has enjoyed a successful relationship with Sodirep for the past five years. The renewal of the deal will strengthen its position in the European licensed apparel market and increase sales and distribution within mainland Europe.

"This renewed agreement is a very exciting development for the company as it further strengthens our European network," said Matthew Wheeler, Blues' chairman. "Sodirep is a strong partner with great pedigree in manufacturing and importing clothing in France and Benelux and we are confident they will continue to help us achieve our objectives in these territories."

Sodirep will continue to distribute Blues' line of licensed apparel from a list of properties covering classics, toy, movie, TV and design-driven brands, and will focus on Disney, Bratz, Spider-man and Friends, Snoopy, Indiana Jones and Hello Kitty.
