Born Licensing and Mattel bring Master of the Universe's Skeletor and He-Man to Moneysupermarket ad campaign

The deal will see the launch of a major advertising campaign feature the infamous bad guy Skeletor as he dances to Irena Cara’s Fame.

Born Licensing and Masters of the Universe licensor, Mattel are celebrating a new deal with the comparison website, moneysupermarket.com.

The deal will see the launch of a major advertising campaign feature the infamous bad guy Skeletor as he dances to Irena Cara’s Fame.

The ad follows a successful year of advertising for moneysupermarket.com with its ‘squads, strutters and builders’ ad named the most memorable for 2016 in the UK.

Born Licensing director, David Born, said: “This is a brilliant example of how iconic characters can be used in a truly creative way. It perfectly plays on the character traits of Skeletor and He-Man that we all know and love.”

Darren Bentley, marketing director at Moneysupermarket, added: “We wanted to bring a fresh new perspective to our You’re So Moneysupermarket campaign this year.

“We thought it would be fun to subvert expectation of one of the best-known super villains from our childhoods and show that, no matter who you are, you’re bound to feel epic if you save money on your household bills.”
