The major new ad campaign introduces viewers to the character Boost Lee.
Bruce Lee Family Companies, Born Licensing and a new pay as you go energy supplier, Boost have come together to launch a new advertising campaign featuring the likeness of the famous martial arts movie star.
The campaign introduces the character Boost Lee, whose appearance =, mannerisms and attitude are inspired by the global icon, Bruce Lee.
The new ad campaign for the UK firm, Boost – an energy tracking and supplying initiative – is the result of a meeting of minds between the Bruce Lee brand owners, Bruce Lee Family Companies and Born Licensing, which represents the London-based creative agency SNAP LDN.
The deal itself was brokered by Beanstalk.
David Born, licensing director at Born Licensing, said: “This is a great example of a creative agency taking a well-known, iconic property and adding its own twist to create a really effective and memorable advertising campaign.
“We expect the UK to respond well to Boost Lee’s inspiration on how prepay energy households can take charge of their power.”
Founded in 2014, Born Licensing enables advertising agencies to create standout creative campaigns by enabling access to a broad range of entertainment brands.
The firm was part of the team that masterminded the popular MoneySuperMarket ad campaign starring Mattel’s He-Man and Skeletor.
Martin Cribbs, vice president of brand management at Beanstalk, added: “Bruce Lee is an icon who is adored all over the world.
“We love seeing his memory celebrated in smart, witty ways and the Boost campaign is a great example of that.”
