CANADA: Monster Factory's first ever app in production

Monsters Everywhere boasts a 'virtual tourism' experience, according to firm.

9 Story Entertainment and Canadian toy firm Monster Factory have revealed that the first ever Monster Factory app is now in production.

Monsters Everywhere is billed as a mobile game for iOS and Android that incorporates the toy manufacturer's range of monster character toys with a 'virtual tourism' experience.

The new app - currently being produced by Toronto-based Little Guy Games - will celebrate travel as the popular monster characters can 'hop from device to device, collecting gifts from the players they visit in the form of user generated photographs and virtual souvenirs.'

While their monsters are away 'travelling' players will be able to build and mange their own monster hotels, where they host inbound monster guests belonging to other players.

"We are building an app at an unusual scope and level," said Vince Commisso, president and CEO of 9 Story Entertainment.

"The launch of Monsters Everywhere is an important content driven initiative to grow the Monster Factory brand, as part of our larger marketing and licensing strategy."

Adam Dunn, co-founder and co-president, Monster Factory, added: "We are thrilled to be working closely with the experienced team at Little Guy Games to bring our characters to life on the mobile market.

"The concept and gameplay of Monsters Everywhere will provide the ideal platform for our monsters to come to life in the hands of players all over the world."
