Former 20th Century Fox exec becomes head of licensing strategy and business development.
FremantleMedia Enterprises has appointed former 20th Century Fox man, Carl Lumbard.
Lumbard (pictured) takes on the newly created role of head of licensing strategy and business development, Kids & Family Entertainment, EMEA.
He will be responsible for the commercial development of brands within the division's portfolio across EMEA, including identifying timescales, key licensing categories, best in practice licensees and retailers and more.
Lumbard will report to Mark Newton, EVP licensing EMEA, and Dominic Burns, SVP licensing and entertainment EMEA.
A popular figure in the licensing business, Lumbard spent almost 14 years at 20th Century Fox, most recently as SVP and managing director, licensing and merchandising, EMEA. Before that he held senior positions at Promotional Partners Worldwide and Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
"FME's Kids & Family Entertainment division has been really successful in a relatively short time and the portfolio of brands are perfect for long-term growth across EMEA and beyond," stated Lumbard. "I'm looking forward to being involved with these brands and to working with the highly regarded teams in EMEA and globally."
Key FME brands currently include Tree Fu Tom, Wizards vs Aliens, Monsuno and Strange Hill High.
