To mark Anti-Bullying Week, the company has teamed with Childline to help encourage kids to take positive action against bullying.
To coincide with Anti-Bullying Week, Cartoon Network has partnered with Childline to develop a series of animated shorts.
Featuring six shorts, the series includes 3D characters that have been voiced by students from the Barclay Primary School in London who share their thoughts on friendship.
The animated shorts have also been deigned to help launch CN Buddy Network, an initiative that aims to encourage kids to take positive action against bullying, while also providing tips, professional advice and online tools.
“Our Cartoon Network audience fall within the prime age group experiencing bullying and it is hugely important for us to address this in a way that is positive, supportive and relevant,” said Ian McDonough, SVP and MD of Turner Northern Europe.
“This year’s series of bespoke ‘Be a Buddy’ animations make use of real thoughts and commentary from kids, which we hope will be really powerful and engaging for their peers.”
