CBS grows Television City drive

Number of firm's TV brands expanded into apparel, home décor, electronics and collectibles.

CBS Consumer Products has secured deals with seven new partners for its Television City banner, the umbrella branding for its classic TV library.

The new agreements will see a slew of products introduced, and also set a course for the expanding of the Television City brand over the next two years.

The banner includes such shows as Cheers, Beverly Hillbillies, The Little Rascals and The Love Boat, while it will also get an extra boost from milestone anniversaries for shows including The Andy Griffith Show (50th), Beverly Hills 90210 (20th) and Twin Peaks (20th, pictured).

Alltru will be producing men's, women's and boys' t-shirts for a wide range of properties, while Arc International will be manufacturing glassware and bar accessories for Cheers, Brady Bunch and Happy Days among others.

Bang-On T-shirts will be producing heat transfers in the US, Canada, Asia and Europe this summer for Beverly Hills 90210 (Classic), Melrose Place (Classic), Mighty Mouse, Twilight Zone and Twin Peaks.

Earloomz will roll out Bluetooth headsets in the US, while LTL Prints will have removable wall art.

Finally, JCorp will produce t-shirst and sleepwear in Canada for Mighty Mouse, while Rasta Imposta will have costumes in the US this autumn based on Brady Bunch, The Love Boat and Mork & Mindy.

"These new collections further our long-term strategy and positions Television City as the ultimate brand for classic TV fans," explained Liz Kalodner, executive VP and general manager of CBS Consumer Products.
