Popular exec will now be responsible for brand management at fast growing company.
Character World has strengthened its team with the promotion of Tim Kilby to brand director.
Kilby (pictured) joined the licensed homewares and textiles business seven years ago from CWV. He will now be responsible for brand management, as well as overseeing the marketing and creative divisions of the business.
He will focus on managing the brand portfolio for the UK, as well as European growth and will report to joint MD, Danny Schweiger.
The promotion follows a busy 12 months for Character World, which has seen it win new licences including Hello Kitty, Nintendo and One Direction, introduce new products and open a warehouse facility in Liverpool. It has also made its first foray into Europe with ranges featuring Mario Bros and Sonic the Hedgehog.
"Tim plays a key role in helping us secure major licences and works closely with licensors and our internal teams to produce best selling product ranges that appeal to consumers," said Danny Schweiger, joint MD. "It's vital we have the right structure in place to ensure we achieve our plans for growth and Tim's knowledge and experience in the sector means he is well placed to drive Character World forward.
