Justin Fletcher is among top industry names to contribute to this year's media manual.
Top names in the children’s media industry, including presenter Justin Fletcher, have joined forces to contribute to the Children’s Media Foundation’s Annual Yearbook.
The manual aims to offer a snapshot of the news, trends and issues affecting the children’s media scene over the last year.
Launched today (Thursday, July 3rd) the CMF Yearbook will feature articles on the development, creation, distribution and regulation of children’s media, from traditional TV to online and apps.
The folio will feature contributions from the likes of TV executives Anna Home, Kay Benbow and Joe Godwin as well animator Tom Collingwood, regulator Colin Browne, journalist Stuart Dredge and writer Rob Keeley.
In the same year that celebrates the 50th anniversary of Play School, the 2014 Yearbook also takes a look at news, views and issues with BBC and Disney Channels executives discussing the current views from the industry, while issues in the licensing and toy industry are covered by Kelvyn Gardner and Natasha Crookes.
“The CMF is dedicated to keeping an experienced and close eye on all aspects of the children’s media industry to ensure that children and parents are armed with the best possible information to make choices,” said editor and academic, Lynn Whitaker.
“This Yearbook is stuffed full of news, information, views and debate about the industry and is a resource for anyone with an interest in the business of entertaining and selling products to children.”
