Firm acquires international distribution rights in all media worldwide, including L&M, for new series My Life Me.

Canadian kids broadcaster, Teletoon Canada and French Broadcasters, FranceTelevisions and Canal J backed the co-production and will each launch the series in 2010. A Licensing and Merchandising programme will also be developed to support the brand.
My Life Me is an animated comedy aimed at kids aged eight to 12 with a unique animation style. The series is based around four lead characters trying to make sense of tween life.
The project was co-created by JC Little, Cindy Filipenko and rising manga star Svetlana Chmakova, who found success with the top selling Tokyopop comic book hit Dramacon.
Produced entirely in digital animation, this series stays true to manga aesthetics using various comic book manga codes and language, such as black and white comic book panels dropping behind the characters to express their feelings on screen.
Chloe van den Berg, EVP – International, Classic Media, commented: “We’re delighted to be working with Olivier Dumont and CarpeDiem and hope this is just the beginning of a very successful partnership.
"The acquisition of My Life Me adds a new dimension to our portfolio and marks the beginning of a strategic growth phase for the company.”
Marie-Claude Beauchamp, president and executive producer, CarpeDiem Film & TV added: “The enthusiasm with which Classic Media has embraced My Life Me thrills us - with them on board, we can be confident that this show that we are so proud of will be seen by a truly global audience.”
The brand has an online component with interactive website based on the themes from the show. Viewers to create their own manga comics using either online tutorials or actual clips from the series. The site also offers games.
Alongside this internet component, 26 original shorts, nine bloopers and four music video clips are being produced to fully exploit multi-platform opportunities including mobile and VoD. The series, shorts and website will be fully delivered by spring 2010.
