Classic Media expands across Asia-Pacific

Deals inked for brands including Postman Pat, Guess with Jess and Casper.

Classic Media has secured a number of new deals across the Asia-Pacific region.

The firm has placed over 1,200 hours of programming with free and pay TV, plus home entertainment partners, as well as increasing the catalogue's presence on IPTV platforms.

New free TV deals for Postman Pat have been signed in South Korea (EBS), and IPTV deals in Australia (Yahoo 7) and China (Qiyi/Lekan). Meanwhile, new deals for Guess with Jess have been struck in New Zealand (TVNZ), South Korea (C4U Media), Thailand (Rose Media) and China (Lekan).

Recent deals for Finley the Fire Engine including China (Lekan) and free TV and home entertainment rights in Thailand (TIGA).

Moving on, and new agreements for George of the Jungle have been sealed in India (Sun TV) and Thailand (True Visions), while Casper the Friendly Ghost expands in Australia (Jigsaw), Thailand (TIGA), Malaysia (Natseven TV and NTV7) and Taiwan (Migo).

Finally, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe has been picked up by Yahoo 7 in Australia and by Qiyi in China.
