CPLG picks up Ubisoft's Rabbids for TV

Firm appointed non exclusive licensing agent for new TV series in the EMEA region.

CPLG has extended its existing deal with Ubisoft for the Rabbids brand, becoming a non exclusive licensing agent for the new TV series in the EMEA region, which is due to air in 2013.

The new property will be represented across all CPLG territories, including the UK, with a master toy partner currently being sought. Other categories will then follow.

CPLG also handles Ubisoft's Just Dance and Imagine across its network of offices.

"Rabbids is an enormously popular brand and the TV series will be eagerly anticipated by a huge existing fanbase," said Steve Manners, EVP and director of entertainment at CPLG. "We are looking to work with partners across a wide range of categories who want to join what will be a significant licensing programme."

A broadcasting deal for Rabbids has also been struck with Nickelodeon, while France Television has snapped up a separate deal for the show.
