‘Combining Crayola’s beloved brand and art expertise with Lerner’s proven publishing program makes for a wonderful partnership,’ says Lerner’s Adam Lerner.
Crayola and Lerner Publishing are rolling out a line of new children’s books.
The two series of books boast early learning topics, photographs, art activities and a glossary to help kids improve their reading skills.
This autumn will see the launch of ten titles, followed by nine publications in spring 2018, with additional books planned for future seasons.
“Combining Crayola’s beloved brand and art expertise with Lerner’s proven publishing program in the school, library, and trade markets makes for a wonderful partnership,” said Adam Lerner, publisher and CEO of Lerner Publishing Group.
“As part of our commitment to building strong foundations for literacy and learning, our new books include hands-on activities designed to encourage creative thinking and inspire curiosity and exploration.”
The first two series launching this year include Crayola Seasons, which will celebrate the colours of the different seasons, while Crayola Concepts will focus on early childhood concepts with engagaing text and photos.
Warren Schorr, VP of business development and global licensing at Crayola, added: “At Crayola, we believe storytelling is key to unleashing the creative spirit that lives in every child.
“When a child is reading a colourful story, it opens a window into their imagination. Our hope is for the new books to encourage kids to share their colourful stories and celebrate the unique vision of the world around them.”
