DC Super Friends and Looney Tunes fly into playgrounds

Warner Bros. Consumer Products UK partners with Park Leisure.

DC Super Friends and Looney Tunes characters will transform UK kids' playgrounds and parks.

Superheroes such as Superman and Batman, as well as Looney Tunes characters like Bugs Bunny and Tazmanian Devil, will feature on outdoor play zone equipment, thanks to a new agreement between Warner Bros. Consumer Products UK and Park Leisure.

Park Leisure will provide the equipment to local authorities, schools, holiday and theme parks, leisure centres and a range of other destination venues.

Already developed themed play zones include a Looney Tunes Active Trail featuring products such as a Bugs Bunny Apex Climber and Sylvester chasing Tweety Pie Slalom Posts.

Other ranges include a Superman Fortress of Solitude climbing frame with slide, a Wayne Manor Batcave climbing wall and slide chute, in addition to stand alone outdoor equipment.

“We are proud to be part of this exciting venture with Park Leisure as we strongly believe in providing opportunities for children that encourage active play”, said Paul Bufton, General Manager for Warner Bros. Consumer Products UK.

"By joining forces with Park Leisure our brands can help transform parks and playgrounds into playtime destinations that will provide an unforgettable experience for families in the UK."

Trevor Markham, Park Leisure MD, said: "We’re thrilled to be collaborating with WBCP and we are certain that the products we’ve designed will breathe new life into traditional outdoor play equipment."
