Video game will hit shelves when animated movie arrives in cinemas this autumn.

Call of Duty owner Activision is collaborating with Disney to produce a Wreck-It Ralph video game.

Wreck-It Ralph is an upcoming movie from Disney which follows misunderstood game villain Ralph who wants to become a hero.

The accompanying video game will be released for the Nintendo Wii, 3DS and DS consoles. It takes place after the events of the movie.

Wreck-It Ralph, as a brand, is perfectly suited for video game stardom,” said David Oxford, executive VP at Activision Publishing.

“With the fantastic characters and creative atmosphere envisioned by Walt Disney Animation Studios, we know fans are going to love seeing their newfound favourite characters embark on an all-new side-scrolling adventure.”

Wreck-It Ralph also contains several licensed video game characters such as those from Street Fighter and Mario games.

The film hits US cinema screens on November 2nd this year, but IMDB says it won’t arrive in the UK until February 15th, 2013.
