Ski performance brand Spyder has announced a two-year deal with Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media for a new line of ski items.
The collection, which has been inspired by iconic Marvel superheroes, will boast racesuites and skiwear that will be worn by men and women in the US Ski Team.
The full line-up of apparel will roll out to retail during autumn 2017, following its premiere at the Alpine World Cup Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland on February 6th to 19th 2017.
“Pairing the world’s greatest athletes of skiing with the Marvel Universe exemplifies the spirit of strength, power and perseverance that the US Ski Team and our Superheroes represent,” said Paul Gitter, SVP of licensing Marvel at Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media.
“We are looking forward to outfitting the US Ski Team with this high-quality gear so they can showcase their heroic style just like a Marvel Superhero. Having these world class athletes showcase the new line exemplifies Spyder’s brand essence in an authentic way.”
US Ski Team members will be kitted out in the racesuits that mimic Marvel’s Captain America and Captain Marvel.
