Pandora – The World of Avatar will be housed in Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida.
A mere seven years after the release of James Cameron’s blockbuster hit, Disney has detailed the opening of its Avatar theme park.
With a planned opening of Summer 2017, Pandora – The World of Avatar will be housed I Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida.
No specific date has been revealed yet, but the launch of the park will aim to coincide with the planned run of four sequels to Cameron’s 2007 big budget movie.
According to reports, Pandora has been in the works for over five years.
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman, Bob Chapek detailed the park with concept artwork at D23’s Destination D.
“Even if you haven’t seen the movie, you’ll still get it,” he said. Check out the park’s concept artwork below:
