Digital brands star alongside evergreen characters.
Disney consumer products has revealed its spring/summer 2013 licensing opportunities at its bi-annual partners meeting.
The licensor outlined support for its evergreen properties like Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh and Disney Princess, detailing its integrated marketing and retail strategies.
Aside from the old favourites, Disney showed off its mobile app Where’s My Water? which has achieved number one spots on the App Store in over 30 countries. The puzzler features Swampy the Aligator (pictured) and is set to be spun into a series of animated shorts. A merchandising programme is underway.
Disney also championed its kids virtual world Club Penguin and Sofia the First, a new film which will be followed by an animated TV series.
