UK homewares licensee Dreamtex has joined forces with Danish company, Skybrands in a 50/50 joint venture agreement.

The companies will now work together to produce branded bed linen and accessories for the UK market.

SkyBrands was founded by Jan Kolbek and is the leading supplier of branded textile products in the Nordic and key European territories. Its portfolio of brands includes Disney, Angry Birds, Skylanders, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, iStyle Originals, Pets Rock and Animal Planet among others.

"SkyBrands A/S is a highly successful, forward-thinking licensing company," said Dreamtex's Anthony Duckworth. "This partnership is not only a great opportunity for them to expand into the UK market, it also strengthens our portfolio, enabling us to maximise the UK's revenue potential and build on the success we have achieved so far."

SkyBrands' chairman, Kolbek, added: "We are extremely pleased to be working with Dreamtex in the UK. There are many synergies between our two companies and their experience and approach to licensing made them the perfect partners for us to grow the business further."
