DRi shows its soft side

New greetings and gift property unveiled.

DRi Licensing has added to its portfolio with The Softest Spot, a new property within the greetings and gift sectors of the market.

Created with the female audience in mind, the brand’s sentiments are about loving, sharing and friendship. The Softest Spot is illustrated by Brian Paterson and features two cute white puppies with black and blue soft watercolour spots.

Gemma International has already published a collection of greeting cards for Valentine’s Day and other occasions. New ranges are now being developed for Christmas and Mother’s Day.

DRi has also signed Rainbow Designs as master gift licensee, with the firm working on plush toys, keychains, charms and mugs for an early 2009 launch.

“The Softest Spot epitomises the simplicity of emotional communication and occasions,” said Alicia Davenport, director at DRi. “It is a charming property and we are excited to be representing it worldwide.”
