Dubai licensing fair ready for kick off

The Middle East's only dedicated licensing event expecting to attract over 10,000 trade visitors.

The Dubai International Character and Licensing Conference begins today (Tuesday October 27th), with the organisers expecting around 10,000 trade visitors from almost 60 countries to walk through the doors.

Taking place for a second year, the show will run until Thursday October 29th alongside the Character Dubai and Dubai World Game Expo at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The event will focus on key issues including culture of the Middle East, the licensing business in the territory, plus licensing and merchandising developments in emerging territories.

"Dubai International Character and Licensing Conference provides an ideal platform for character and licensing experts and decision makers to discuss and develop different aspects of this sector," explained Laila Suhail, CEO of Dubai Shopping Festival Office, consultant and member of the Character Dubai Committee.

"From our side, we will concentrate on the licensing indistry in the Middle East, as well as discussing major industry-related issues. Such dedicated and specialised conferences contribute in highlighting the industry investment potential and ways of developing it, as well as attracting experts to exchange knowledge and experiences and bring the latest trends to the region."
