Egmont Kids Media strengthens its global focus

Firm appoints first VP of global licensing acquisition.

Egmont Kids Media has appointed Sten Jorgensen to the new role of VP, global licensing acquisition.

The move is part of the firm's plan to have a more global focus for the Kids Media division.

Jorgensen (pictured) joins Egmont from Disney. He has held senior publishing, media and consumer product roles over the last 18 years, including VP global magazines. Most recently, he was VP marketing and brand development Disneynature.

Jorgensen will now be responsible for acquisition and sales of all non-Disney global rights across Egmont Kids Media.

"This newly established global role will focus on attracting global rights, transforming these rights into successful product offers and maximising revenues from such rights worldwide," said Frank Knau, EVP of Kids Media. "We are delighted that Sten comes to us with incredible experience across publishing, licensing and media, and in leading international teams across multiple territories."

Jorgensen added: "I am truly excited about returning to Egmont after nearly two decades with Disney."
