eOne's Peppa Pig to take over Asda's annual Baby and Toddler retail event

Beginning on March 26th, shoppers will be able to get their hands on promotional goods and take part in in-store and online events.

Entertainment One’s (eOne) pre-school show Peppa Pig is set to take over supermarket Asda’s annual Baby and Toddler event in store.

During the five-week event, customers will be able to experience the interactive Peppa Pig experience, which will feature in-store entertainment, activities for kids and enhanced visibility for the brand’s consumer products in over 300 Asda stores.

Beginning on March 26th, shoppers will be able to get their hands on promotional goods and take part in in-store and online events.

Hannah Mungo, head of UK licensing at Entertainment One, said: “This is by far the biggest UK retail initiative Peppa has been involved in, and eOne is delighted to be working so closely with the team at Asda.

“Our aim is to fully engage Asda customers with the brand during the event and ensure Asda becomes the retail destination for Peppa Pig during the event period.”

In addition, on April 16th, an exclusive Peppa Pig in-store entertainment event will be held in 60 stores.

On the day, a branded backdrop will offer fans a free photo opportunity of themselves, while a free 16-page activity booklet will also be on offer.

“Retailtainment events like this are a great way to attract customers into store in an increasingly competitive retail environment, and it’s also an excellent opportunity for us to reward families doing their weekly shop with an unforgettable experience,” added Mungo.

Plus, Asda will also promote limited edition Peppa Pig branded packs of Asda’s Little Angels nappies.
