DeFacto Clothing Company to launch collection across 134 stores from March.

Fox Consumer Products and Sinerji - its agent in Turkey - have hired DeFacto Clothing Company to launch a new range of The Simpsons apparel in the country.

The leading Turkish retailer will debut the collection across 134 stores from March. It will initially focus on t-shirts for men, with the 30 designs featuring Homer and his classic phrases in different colour combinations.

Apparel ranges for ladies, boys and girls will roll out over the next two years, including accessories.

"Turkey is a key growth market for The Simpsons," said Carl Lumbard, SVP and MD, FCP EMEA. "Our new partnership with DeFacto reflects the growing awareness and demand for The Simpsons amongst young fashion conscious consumers.

"A great new partner in a growing market, we're delighted to be welcoming Defacto on board for The Simpsons licensing programme."

Hakan Durdag, president of Sinerji, added: "DeFacto are an incredibly dynamic company working with the clear ambition to be a globally recognised retail brand within the next decade. The deal with FCP on such a widely recognised and popular global brand as The Simpsons will undoubtedly drive the store's footfall."
