Since the launch of Giochi Preziosi’s toy property, Glimmies, the firm has enjoyed a successful start to the toy’s licensing programme.
After the range’s launch in Europe earlier this year, excellent sales have been recorded while several categories have been confirmed as licensing partners for the UK.
Early 2017 saw the licensing programme kickstart with Lisle Licensing signed as the UK and Ireland licensing agent. Partners are now also on board in categories including publishing, apparel and magazine, which all begins in A/W17 with the release of new merchandise.
“We are delighted with the early success of the Glimmies franchise,” said Graziano Delmaestro, head of licensing at Giochi Preziosi.

A global retail sales value of €45 million euro has been estimated for Glimmies’ debut year with a total of ten million pieces expected to be sold by the end of the year.
A second wave of the toys is set to launch soon, which will boast new features and themes for fans to enjoy.
