GIRLS MONTH: Club Penguin TCG success for Topps

New Starter Packs launching this spring following sell out of initial line.

Topps is currently celebrating the success of its Club Penguin Card-Jitsu trading card game, and will be launching new content this spring to keep up with demand.

The TCG based on the Disney social networking site features unique online code cards. These unlock exclusive Power Cards online, with winners being able to fast track their ability to earn belts to become a ninja.

In addition, special 'Golden Code Cards' are hidden in select packets.

"Club Penguin is currently the fastest growing online virtual world of its type, and Topps Club Penguin Card-Jitsu trading game maximises the potential of the game both on and offline, so it is vital that retailers maximise the sales opportunity," explained Ruth Leonard, entertainment marketing director at Topps Europe.

There are 48 game cards to collect within the second release, plus eight customisable Penguin cards with 12 dress-up stickers and 12 Foil Power cards.

On top of this, Topps is releasing the Disney Club Penguin Fire Starter Pack this spring. It will come with a game guide featuring top tips on how to win the game, plus an exclusive Sensei pop-up card to drive collectability even further.
