Several collections to be showcased at art and design show in Jacob Javits Center in May.
The PhiloSophie brand will be making its debut at May's Surtex show in New York.
Created by Joanna Alberti, the illustration-led brand will showcase its birthday, bridal, baby and everyday collections during the three-day event.
Originally produced exclusively on stationery and invitations, PhiloSophie moved into the licensing marketplace in 2007 when Alberti teamed up with Enesco, a specialist in the giftware, home and garden décor sectors.
The collaboration produced a variety of novelty items including mugs, compacts and t-shirts.
With the introduction of new colour palettes and patterns coupled with the appearance at Surtex, Alberti is confident of moving the brand into more sectors.
"I think these new offerings combined with Sophie's overall versatility make the brand a terrific option for companies looking to connect and market to a wide age range of stylish, self-assured women," said Alberti. "I look forward to introducing her to the Surtex crowd, especially since the show focuses on original art, and I hope 2010 marks the beginning of many years at this fantastic event."
