Global Merchandising Services signs brand development deal with Mariah Carey

This Christmas will see Carey’s hit single All I Want for Christmas made into animated movie with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, for which Carey will narrate.

Global Merchandising Services has been appointed as the exclusive worldwide merchandise and brand partner for Mariah Carey.

Global’s remit includes developing and extending the Mariah Carey brand, across the lifestyle and fashion arenas. In addition to its licensing capabilities, Global will continue to create bespoke tour ranges for sale at Live Events and build merchandise programmes for Retail and E-Commerce.

Carey has sold over 200 million records and scored 18 Billboard Hot 100 number singles, more than any other solo artist in history. She is the recipient of multiple Grammy Awards, 20 American Music Awards, Billboard’s Artist of the Decade Award, the world Music Award for World’s Bestselling Female Artist of the Millenium and BMI’s icon Award.

This Christmas will see Carey’s hit single All I Want for Christmas made into animated movie with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, for which Carey will narrate.

The plot will expand on the children’s book of the same name, that sees a young Mariah deciding that all she wants for Christmas is a cute puppy named Princess.

For her wish to come true, Mariah must show she can pet-sit Jack, a disobedient dog who turns Mariah and her family’s holiday plans upside down. She also wrote and performs the title track for Sony’s wide release animated film The Star, coming out on November 17th 2017.
