Nottingham Playhouse stage show will tour the UK next year.
Hit CBeebies TV show Grandpa in My Pocket is being adapted into a stage show production.
Production company Adastra Creative has teamed up with Nottingham Playhouse to bring the series to life in theatres.
The show will be titled 'Teamwork' and will feature songs, dancing, puppetry and audience interaction.
Teamwork will play for one month from July 13th at the Nottingham Playhouse, with plans to tour nationwide in 2013.
Mellie Buse, co-founder of Adastra Creative and writer and producer of Grandpa in My Pocket, said: “Nottingham Playhouse is the perfect partner for this project. It has embraced all the core elements of the TV series that have made it so popular, and are totally in tune with the brand.”
Giles Croft, artistic director at Nottingham Playhouse, added: “Everyone at Nottingham Playhouse is genuinely thrilled to be creating this first-ever stage interpretation of such a well-loved children’s television show.”
Grandpa in My Pocket is sold to over 104 territories worldwide. It's one of CBeebies' highest-rated shows. It's developed by Adastra in conjunction with Finance Wales.
